Give Me the Wisdom

Instruct all the skilled craftsmen whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom. Have them make garments for Aaron that will distinguish him as a priest set apart for my service.
Exodus 28:3, NLT

The tailors who made Aaron’s garments were given wisdom by God in order to do their task. All of us have special skills. God wants to fill us with his Spirit so we will use those skills for his glory.

Give Me the WisdomI think about my own special talents and abilities and the ways that I could use them for God’s work in the world. As I focus on helping and giving to others, God will show me the best ways to do it and give me wisdom to accomplish the task.

When I decided to add this series of posts to my site I expressed my apprehension of doing so to a friend who has ministry experience. I was concerned that because I did not have official ministry knowledge and because I felt I had no better insight than any of my potential readers that I might not “do it right.” He assured me that God would show me the best way to do it and provide me with everything that I would need. He was right.

I do have special talents and abilities. I love to teach and share my experience. I know that God has everything to do with me having those abilities and I want to continue to teach and share everything I know, including how his word, can be applied to life and business. His word is all encompassing and applies to all, there is no separation in truth.
