So, this is it. We are down to the last 12 days before Christmas. Do you have your shopping done? I still have a few things to pick up locally, and to deliver locally. But even if I still needed to do shopping, I love the fact that the internet allows for very quick and easy purchases.
I was going to do a 12 days before Christmas last minute shopping idea countdown. Each day, the 12th of Dec through the 23rd of Dec, I would have presented an item or idea. Each item or idea would have been about something that I would buy or make for myself, my family or my friends. And each would be of things that could still be purchased or made in time to give to someone or use during this THIS Holiday season. But, I am too worried I would not be able to keep up, so I am not going to do it.
I never did put up any of my Fontanini collection either. And only about half of my ornaments made it to the tree. I love to decorate but I know how much time it will take to take it all down and decided against it all. The tree looks beautiful and really does not need anything more. Next year I am going to skip all the old ornaments and re-do the tree in an updated theme. And I am already looking forward to that. I could even get some after Christmas sale items really cheap and save them all for next year. WhaaaWho!
As these last days before Christmas rapidly dwindle down, I am craving some relaxation and pure enjoyment of being surrounded by my family without any commitments. I guess I am just looking forward to some of that real quality time. My next Christmas article will likely include the menu. Mmm, just thought of planning that, spending the day cooking and presenting the feast brings a calm smiling grin to my face.
