My Challenge M4D1 #tc10

Welcome back! The Challenge is well under way and there are a lot of new and interesting things being taught this year. I am so excited to be part of it. I have learned some crucial elements and I am so happy that I get to be able to share them with you.

This module, as well of the next is going to be focusing on market leadership.Ed will be introducing and teaching the concepts of market leadership to us. And even better, he plans to give us a step by step process to be able to become market leaders in our chosen niches.

Our first video today has Ed explaining in farther detail how Google is always changing what they are looking for when they apply weight using their system of placingĀ  and ranking. So far, we have been taught that they look for number of backlinks as well as the authority of any given site. The third thing that Google analyzes is the relevancy. All three factors will always play a role in how well your site is ranked. But it is relevancy tends to be the one that will (and should) attract more attention and that Google will pay more attention to.

What is Market Leadership?

  1. A step by step process.
  2. A long term process that requires a level of consistency.
  3. It will place you solidly as one of the leaders of your market.

To build yourself and/or your market to that market leadership position, you can use various online platforms such as Twitter and Facebook. Ed explains to shy away from thinking of these tools as money making activities but instead view them as part of your Market Leadership process. Using them long term and with consistency.

Evidently there are people who are somewhat deterred by the possibility of some of the negative perceptions that being a leader might bring so they are at least worth mentioning. Leaders can have a perception that is not appreciated by others. And sometimes putting yourself in the position of being a leader can expose you and all that you don’t know. I cannot say that that any of these have or will deter me but I do dislike criticism as much as the next person.

Ed used a few examples of ways to position yourself and your niche as a market leader in his last video. Using Julie/Julia as an example he illustrated a step by step process, the long term aspect and how the combination of those created a leader in a market. Bill Wadman’s 365 Portraits Project was another example used to illustrate that you don’t have to be an expert to begin. As your project continues, you will move into that leader role because you are continuing to learn and have proven yourself as sustainable and worthy by perseverance.

Moving up as in market leadership will cause your market and niche to grow organically. Organic growth means long term and lasting growth for your business.

In your niche, following the methodology of creating content and adding to your market that you have been getting taught in The Challenge, all adds to your profile as a market leader.
