I saved this part of my article for last, on purpose. It is by far the most important information that you will find anywhere if you are an entrepreneur or investor. The advise is solid and proven. It made me realize that even though overall I am mostly on track, in some areas of my business, I am not as focused as I should be to make my business system work. As I have said in many other quick notes across the internet, I use this example. I know that I am slightly off track, but I can see the switch man and am ready to pull the lever to ensure that I get back onto the right track. So, without further ado…
Meet MJ DeMarco.
MJ is THE Millionaire that began the Fastlane to Millions forum. His success story is an enlightening read. When MJ started the forum he had already made his millions. The forum was a result of filling an immediate need that was identified. And the B&P was a result of the forum membership wanting to continue forum discussions in person.
MJ prepared a couple of videos for his presentation for this year’s meet-up.The first one was a spoof of sorts using part of a recent foreign movie and captions in English to illustrate the consequences involved with following a slow lane approach to finances.
For his serious presentation he structured his video around what he called, “The 5 Fastlane Commandments.” MJ explained the slow lane as a formula. It is likely the financial formula you are familiar with. Wealth = job + market investments. Although it is a formula which has worked in the past, it certainly is not one that we should follow any longer and expect to be able escape the rat or even be able to retire after working for some 40+ years and have enough money to live on. Is this the formula that you are using to ensure your own financial future? Does it look familiar to you? If it does, consider a different financial education, a financial future that is fastlane. The 5 Fastlane commandments do not use the slow lane formula, instead they revolve around the following concepts:
1. Need
2. Entry
3. Control
4. Scale
5. Time
I cannot even attempt to sum up the fastlane concept or do MJ any justice here in one article. But if you are interested in more of this type of education, join the forum, meet the community and get to know us.
On a side note, MJ revealed during the meet-up that he has also finished his book which goes into depth regarding being or becoming a fastlaner. His book is scheduled to be published before the end of the year. Right now MJ is offering a discount on the book for those who complete the pre-order form.
This year’s Beer and Pancakes meet-up has ended. For some it is just the beginning of lifetime in the Fastlane. For others it is a continuance of living the fastlane. For me it is a little of each depending which area of my life I am evaluating but most importantly it is knowing that I have friends that are like family that I can count on.
The book is here! Just finished reading it and it’s a definite must read.
