Eyes of Love

If I have sinned, what have I done to you, O watcher of all humanity? Why make me your target? Am I a burden to you?
Job 7:20, NLT

Job referred to God as a watcher or observer of humanity. He was expressing he feeling that God seemed like an enemy to him–someone who mercilessly watched him squirm in his misery. We know that God does watch over everything that happens to us.

Eyes of Love - Shamanka

I must never forget that God sees me with compassion, not merely with critical scrutiny. His eyes are eyes of love. I need to take comfort in knowing that God is there for me always. God’s plan may not always be revealed to me ~ God’s plan is revealed at precisely the right moment. Sometimes, I am lucky enough to see those moments. Oh, how wondrous those moments are and how blessed I feel when I encounter them.

How Deep is Your Faith?

Satan replied to the LORD, “Yes, but Job has good reason to fear God. You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property. You have made him prosper in everything he does. Look how rich he is!”
Job 1:9-10, NLT

Satan attacked Job’s motives, saying that Job was blameless and had integrity only because he had no reason to turn against God. Satan wanted to prove that Job worshipped God, not out of love, but because God had given him so much. Satan accurately analyzed why many people trust God. They are fair-weather believers, following God only when everything is going well or for what they can get. Adversity destroys the superficial faith. But adversity strengthens real faith by causing believers to dig their roots deeper into God in order to withstand storms.

How Deep is Your Faith? - Heart of Olkhon

How deep does my faith really go? I put the roots of my faith down deep into God so that I can withstand any storm I may face.

I believe that God will not task me with anything that I cannot endure. Sometimes, I feel a little bit like Job. I may ask myself, “why must I deal with this?” In reality, what Job had to endure is likely far more than I will ever have to endure. Still, I pray for the strength and courage to endure anything I may face and I build upon my faith that God will be there for me to help me when I am most in need.

Praise!

“The LORD lives! Praise to my Rock! May God, the Rock of my salvation, be exalted!”
2 Samuel 22:47, NLT

David praises God wholeheartedly. Praise is not just a song about God; is a song to God.

Praise! Somewhere

There are several aspects to my praise. I can praise God when I:

  1. Thank Him for each attribute of his divine nature.
  2. Focus my heart on God.
  3. Thank God for his many gracious gifts to me.
  4. Thank God for my relationship with him.

Justice for All

So David reigned over all Israel and did what was just and right for all his people.
2 Samuel 8:15, NLT

King David’s reign was characterized by doing what was “just and right.” David was fair in interpreting the law, administering punishment with mercy, respecting people’s rights, and recognizing people’s duty toward God. Is it any wonder that almost everyone trusted and followed David?

Justice For All - Infinity

Justice should characterize the way I relate to people. Make sure I am fair in the way I treat them.

This lesson is one I take to heart in my business. Any business venture I pursue must be a win-win. I do not want to judge the success of my business monetarily but on value. I want and need my business to make me a better person. In order to have my business become a stronger business, my clients must be able to gain something from my business as well as gain something in the relationship they have with me.
